Welcome, our adventure with the schnauzers began the blackish-silver miniature schnauzer called “LADY LUKA” od Felsztyn. Unfortunately she passed the way quite too early for us but she managed to leave a mass of beautiful remembrances and love to the breed.
We spent a long time wondering what would be the next dog for us. The breed and sex (female) were obvious, but the kind of schnauzer was still to consider. I proceeded a bit selfishly that time and against the expectations of my wife and daughter - the choice was a standard schnauzer p&s. Flipping through dozens of web pages we came across the information about forecast of a litter in the kennel nicknamed "z Czartowego Pola FCI", led by the breed hotheads and most charming people - Jola and Lukasz Halczak. Since the first e-mail to Jola, so it began our new adventure with the standard schnauzers.

I learned by heart all the theoretical knowledge about dealing with the standard schnauzers, so all we had to do was to wait for putting it into practice. As it turned out later, it was the most pleasant part of our education. Finally we got the information from Jola about the births of the litter but soon our euphoria was diminished after the information, that only one female was born and as it was agreed previously she was the breeder’s claim. After quite a "stormy" conversation at our house, we made a decision, which completely surprised me – we decided for a boy. I guess the "hunger" of having a dog was apparently stronger than the sex preference. We have never regretted that choice later and in fact we can’t imagine having an other dog instead of our “Badek” (home name). Hagen turned out to be a miraculous family dog - toned down inside the house and volcano of energy outside. Each of us found in our dog something for himself. I found a faithful friend and a buddy for walks, my wife - a home companion and a "listener", which follows her as a shadow during my frequent absences, my daughter - a pall for playing and the confidant of teenage secrets, and Badek himself found a herd in which, I hope, he feels safely.
